Is there a purpose to reading God's Word? Is it not to gain accurate knowledge of God's thoughts, which in turn should draw us closer to him out of love?
We should want more than head knowledge. We want our hearts to be touched. Just as when a man and woman first get to know one another, after some knowledge and a growing love, marriage usually follows.
Should not our Creator expect the same from us ... commitment?
